The Cult Film Club is a podcast that I co-host with my best friends Paxton Holley and Jaime Hood (also my lovely wife) all about the movies that we love to death. We started the show in the winter of 2012 and have been recording episodes for over a decade now.
We recorded this episode back in June of 2016. This is one of those films that I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I rented the disc on Netflix back in 2007. As soon as the film finished, I immediately queued it up to watch it again as I was instantly smitten by both the story and the amazing music. I had been doing a deep dive into glam and glitter rock, stuff like T. Rex, The Velvet Underground, The New York Dolls, The Stooges, David Bowie and Mott the Hoople, and this film was a perfect amalgamation of all of those bands, plus a ton more I’ve never heard yet.
If you like what you hear you can subscribe to the Cult Film Club on iTunes. Also, please consider leaving a review for the show, positive or negative, we’d love to hear what you think and it helps to get the show into the hands of new listeners. Thanks in advance!
